Free Face to Face Networking Event

Our free face to face networking event for Manchester Digital professionals, held on the last Friday of the month

We hold our free face to face networking event at Mackie Mayor in Manchester on the last Friday of the month. This is for anyone connected with the Digital scene in Manchester. It’s completely relaxed, informal and totally free to attend.

We limit numbers for practicality, first come, first served - use the booking button above to reserve a place !

Venue

For those not in the know, Mackie Mayor’s is a food hall set in a refurbished 1858 Grade II listed ex market.

The company who own Mackie’s also set up similar ventures in Altrincham Market and Macclesfield - the Picturedrome - a converted cinema - both of which are highly recommended, as well.

There are a number of vendors of all kinds of food set in a beautifully re-imagined Victorian building.

  • Nearest Metro - Shudehill
  • 11 am start (doors open at 11) until “whenever”.
  • In the spirit of the great “Long liquid lunch”, we decamp to the pub afterwards should needs must.

Food

What can we say ? Probably some of the best food in Manchester.

Not your average pie, chips and gravy, there’s a great selection of food with all tastes - vegan and vegetarian included. Mackie Mayor gets fantastic reviews for its’ varied selection of dishes, but of course, we’re all there to talk about important Digital matters. Aren’t we ?

Food ordering

You will need to download an app to order food. Sorry !

Please download the Alt.Eats app available on the App Store & Google Play - bit of a pain, yes. The quality of the food makes up for the inconvenience.

For a more liquid lunch

For those of you who prefer a longer liquid lunch (how long does a pizza and a coffee take, after all ?) we can move on to The Bay Horse Tavern, which is close by (35-37, Thomas Street) - this is a modern take on a Victorian pub, with craft beers and an outside smoking area for those of you prepared to suffer Dave’s Cuban cigars. ;-)

Hope to see all of you Digital folks for a Long Liquid Lunch !
