We're an app development company based in Cheadle, in the Metropolitan Borough of Stockport, about two miles from the town centre. Since 2017 we've built and looked after more than 50 iPhone and Android apps, and most of our builds cost between £15,000 and £80,000. Every new app begins with the App Gameplan, four weeks of work at a fixed £3,500 that ends with a clear scope and a price for the build.
If you're a Stockport business and would rather talk it through face to face, call us on 0161 552 5498 and we'll arrange a time to meet at Cheadle Place.

Our main office is Cheadle Place, Stockport Road, Cheadle SK8 2JX. Cheadle is one of the towns that make up the Stockport borough. We also work from Merseyway Innovation Centre, Stockport SK1 1PN, in the town centre. Meetings at either are by appointment, so ring ahead and we'll make sure the right person is there.
We think face-to-face time pays for itself at two points: the Gameplan kick-off workshop, and any moment when the scope gets hard to agree. The rest of the time we work over a shared Slack channel and video calls, and every two weeks you get a fresh test build on your phone (TestFlight for iPhone, Firebase App Distribution for Android).
We go to Stockport Digital Network, the meet-up Stockport Council's Economy, Work and Skills team runs for the borough's digital businesses. Gareth is a regular panellist there, and it's an easy place to meet us before you book a call.
We've worked for a Stockport business, but that project has no case study, so our nearest published work is elsewhere in Greater Manchester. GTD Healthcare, the not-for-profit NHS primary and urgent care provider in Denton, needed its iTrent HR and payroll system to share data with RotaMaster. We built that link on Azure Logic Apps and have supported it since 2024.
For SeeChange Technologies in Manchester we built the Insights app for their SeeWare platform in Flutter, so one codebase covers iOS, Android and the web. The SeeChange case study has the details. Manchester agency Axon Garside brings us in when its clients need an app.
OctoCue, part of the Fix8 Group in Denton, wanted an app that lets a presenter move through PowerPoint slides from their phone. We built it in Flutter with Firebase and got it to market in a matter of weeks. The OctoCue case study explains how.
Most new apps we build use Flutter, which gives you an iPhone and an Android app from one codebase. When a project needs it we build native iOS or native Android apps instead. Google's Flutter team picked our flutter_markdown_plus package to replace its own flutter_markdown, and we still look after it.
A lot of our work is on apps that already exist. Apple and Google change their rules every year, and an app nobody updates drifts out of line with them, so App Care, our support plan, keeps up with each OS release and watches for crashes. If your developer has gone quiet, we take on apps another team has left behind.
If you built your first version in Base44, Lovable or another AI tool and it's now creaking under real users and payments, we can make it production-ready. Our pages on Base44 to production, Lovable to production and vibe code to production explain how.
We charge Stockport clients the same as everyone else. Typical budgets:
App Gameplan: £3,500 fixed, over four weeks. By the end you'll know what to build, roughly what it costs and whether the app is worth doing. Go ahead with the build and we take the fee off your first development sprint.
Simple app or MVP: £15,000 to £40,000, with 3 to 6 weeks of development.
Medium-complexity app: £40,000 to £80,000, with 6 to 12 weeks of development.
Complex or enterprise app: £80,000 and up, with 12 to 20 weeks of development.
App Care support: £675 to £1,495 a month.
Those development weeks start once the Gameplan is finished. Two native apps, one for iOS and one for Android, cost more than a single Flutter app, since there are two separate codebases to write and keep up to date.
Gareth Reese, our founder and CTO, lives in Stockport, has spent over 25 years in mobile, including a spell at Electronic Arts, and set up Foresight in 2017.
All work completed on time and on budget. No hidden costs at all.
Steven Robbins, Head of Information and Digital Transformation, GTD Healthcare
Before Foresight came on board, we had crash reporting installed but it wasn't telling us anything useful. We knew the app had issues but couldn't see where they were coming from. Within weeks of the engagement starting, we had a proper picture of what was happening in production and could start working through the backlog. The difference was immediate.

Yes. Cheadle is one of the towns in the Metropolitan Borough of Stockport, and our office on Stockport Road is about two miles from the town centre.
A simple app or MVP is usually £15,000 to £40,000. A medium-complexity app runs £40,000 to £80,000, and complex work starts at £80,000. First comes the £3,500 App Gameplan, which we credit back if you then build with us.
Yes. Call 0161 552 5498 to book a time at Cheadle Place or at Merseyway Innovation Centre in the town centre, or come and say hello at a Stockport Digital Network event.
Once the four-week Gameplan is done, a simple app or MVP usually takes 3 to 6 weeks of development, a medium-complexity app 6 to 12 weeks and a complex one 12 to 20 weeks. Allow a few days for App Store and Google Play review. If you're on a new personal Google Play developer account, Google also makes you run a two-week closed test before you can release.
Yes. First we take a free look. If it's worth going further, we do a £95 code review, and the £95 comes off the bill if you hire us. The review covers the code and whose names the App Store and Google Play accounts are in, and if the old developer still controls them we'll help get them transferred to you.
No. Our clients are spread across the UK and abroad, and besides our two bases in the Stockport borough we have offices in London and Birmingham.
In our experience, most of what an app costs comes after launch. That's why we build with Flutter, Swift and Kotlin, which are mature and well supported, so updates stay affordable for years. Once their projects went live, GTD Healthcare and SeeChange each kept us on for ongoing support.
If you're in Stockport and want to see how we work, book a time to visit us in Cheadle, or start with the App Gameplan.
